The lady from Chipping Norton town hall has asked about October 6th....their only free date this year, it's a busy, busy place.

What about an Autumn or pre Christmas Craft Fair? Too early?
Stalls would be about £35, and we'd get about 30 in to the hall.
Anyone interested? It's a huge drive from me, but I'll do it if you're interested.

Sounds good but maybe a bit too far for me to ask my friend to drive down.
Let's see what the other crafters think.

....it's going to be a long drive for us, so it would be twice that for you!
If we do it, we will be equidistant to home or my Mum's, so I might nip up there for the night and see everyone in Northamptonshire.
Looks like a lovely venue though, and the area is really nice. Lots of BBC celebs up there...

Too far for me, but it looks like a lovely venue.
If I tried the drive I'd probably lose any profits in diesel used to get there and back.

Sorry Jules, I am driving around the country so much already this year looking at all these fairs I've booked. Looks a good one though! :)

......even though it isn't until October, I just can't see that we're going to get enough interest from crafters to make it viable.
Oh well.....

do u just rely on feedback here? seems a shame as 'chippy' is a great place & the people are affluent

Steph....I don't want to scratch this one. I hate giving up on anything!
Feedback on here is important, but most of the crafters on our database are in the south west, so this is too far for them to go.
Any suggestions for attracting crafters based in that area? I'm open to suggestions...although I don't want to be advertising in the papers yet until I'm sure we can make a go of the venue. Newspaper ads are expensive.
It's not until October so we might be able to get crafters by then....

what about contacting the local guilds? or putting a free ad on thisisoxfordshire & thisisgloucestershire etc calling for crafters?

...just been on to thisisoxfordshire.....couldn't find anything about free ads. For adverstising for a few weeks in the Oxford Mail it's going to be well over £1000.....+ VAT. :o
I tried to put my events on the North Oxfordshire website, but it demanded a licensing number before I could submit the listing. We don't have one, as we don't need one.
