Since the new forum came along

I haven't noticed anyone putting a reply on a post. I know we can still do it, but it doesn't seem to be happening. Has anyone else noticed?

Hi Celia, Do you mean a "Reply" or do you mean a "Rep". as reps arn't visible on the posts yet but can be seen through "Settings".

Hi Carol,
I meant a reply, that is visible on someone's post, rather than on the thread. It also used to automatically add rep points.

That's adding rep. On the old forum you add/remove rep and comment on the post. The comments were shown on the old forum however Mr M is working on this for the new forum. You can still rep as normal but at the minute you aren't able to see the comment however the person you reped can.

I'm obviously missing something very basic here, because I can't see how to award rep. I didn't have any problem with the forum as it was before.

Can you please tell me - in words of one syllable (I'm a right computer dinosaur and this is only one of the things I can't do!)? I'd be ever so grateful.

Hehee, Linda, I just repped you to check how it worked.

Look to the bottom left of a post, and there's a blue star there. If you click on it, it brings up a box, and you can Approve the post which adds rep. I don't know what happens with the disapprove option, I've never used it. If I'd written a comment in that box, the comment would have appeared on your post before all the recent changes to the forum.
