Shout if you need any help! I've been going through the bag of scraps this morning and the girls have been 'helping' me. Anya has a little pile of ones that she likes - not sure if she expects me to give them to her or not? I suppose I'd better encourage this crafty behavior....

I have tried numerous times to join my local group, but they just don't reply.
Looks like you'll be having fun for ages and it's so cool to swap and give stuff away.

Sounds like you don't have a very good moderator on your Freecycle
I would try writing to the main Freecycle site and see if they can help. I'm sorting stuff out and hopefully will be putting loads up on the Burnley one too - it's such a good way to get rid of stuff you don't need anymore.

Amazing only just worked out how to use it, had bad luck this week my laptop blew up!
Anyway posted a request on wednesday just to see really and today picked up a carrier full of fabric bits and an icecream tub full of buttons, I haven't looked through them all yet, but I'm very excited and it a lovely community feeling about the site and recycling. winning combination!!
lots of sewing to do!!

Me too Lisa I just couldn't make head nor tail of it all  my brother thinks it's a fab site so I think I'll have to get him to run me through it sometime.

Hi,
It is initially confusing, as it runs through yahoo groups, I had to set up a yahoo name and password. then i chose which groups to join, three in my local area, and I chose to recieve a summary email of all the items available each day,
there is a format to the postings, which you have to follow but they will send an email regarding this.
It really is worth it even if not to do with your crafts!! have all sorts of things on there and its amusing to have a look through even if you don't want anything.
After you have posted an ad, other people contact you through email, and you can arrange to pick the items up.
Good Luck

I keep applying to join our nearest one in Chew, which is quite far from me. There doesn't seem to be one in Weston and I don't have the time to set one up...I think the Chewites are a bit too...er...posh...to want us Westonians. They never reply to emails.

Just joined, loads on it, but nothing of use yet. Will keep watching though but just realised I can git ride of a whole lot of junk from the loft and the cellar, and the people will come and take it off my little hands.
I am going to have a clear out. Need to with the smell from that burnt wax - make it a "very nearly fire sale" hehe.
