Help needed Please - beads for dummies [Archive]

Hiya,

I have been wanting to make some nice beady dangly things for my cards and other projects for ages now.

I have some beads already and I have some other bits ane pieces but sadly I have no clue where to begin. :confused:

Does anyone know a good site or a good book that teaches the basics of making beady dangly things?

Or if someone would like to give me instructions that would be fantastic.:)

I just think that adding a little keepsake to my cards would be brill.

Is this (http://www.jencel.co.uk/ideas/bagcharm.php) the sort of beady dangly thing you mean? For cards you probably want something smaller, but the principle will be the same. There are other instructions too, if you click on the images on either side of that page.

Thank you so much Celia you have helped me out no end :D I love those Star shell earings that type of thing would look ace on a card.

I am now off to rumage in my bead box to see what I already have so I can have a practice before i have a go at the real thing LOL.

Hey, My friend recently bought me a bead book and it has some cool ideas you could use for cards. It's called simple enchanted beading and I'[m currently trying to master bead weaving - if you do a google search there's a site that has loads of patterns for making like bead tapestries! Don't know if you're interested but I thought it looked cool.
