I've had a migraine come on. Took two tablets when my eyes started going funny but they haven't stopped the onset of the full blown pain! :mf:

I'm a migraleve pink girl.... but it only works if you take it right at the first eye flash moment. Then I always put a bag of frozen peas onto my head and go to sleep.
If I miss the onset, then it can be three days long for me. Have had to have the doctor several occassions to give me an IM medication.

I get migraines but nowhere near as bad as you only lasts a day or so . Migraleve usually work as long as you are quick enough. I then shut the curtains and lie down.:mummy:
Hope you get better soon.
All the best.

I can sympathise, I also get migraines.
I've not found a piankiller yet that will completely remove the pain, or if it does it's worn off after an hour and a half and I can't take any more. Dark room, quiet and sleep are the only things that seem to work for me. I'm usually off my feet for a couple of days and can feel the effects for up to a week. It's always amazes me that I can sleep for nearly 36 hours and still feel tired.

.......the bit where your head hurts so much, you can't actually put it down?
I have prescribed dihydracodeine for mine. I can take two max, every four hours. It does work, although it never completely kills the pain, but it makes me very sleepy. That's fine if I can lay down, but my head quickly gets to the stage where I don't want to put it down, because touching anything against it is total agony.
I've turned falling asleep propped upright into an art form....
Feeling any better Indri? Hope so.

I get migranes too but mine 'show themselves' as numb face as well as a headache. When she was 6 or 7 my sister used to get migranes in her stomach! Odd I know but thats what the doctor told her they were. My brother in law gets migranes and he has found that if he drinks a can of caffeine free coke and goes to lie down then that usually helps.

I'm feeling a lot better now. :) I took 2 nurofens (which usually work) right away, but this time they didn't. Ended up going home from work (after 2 hours!) and lying in bed for 2 hours, taking some paracetamol and finally deciding I was hungry so had to go in search of food. As long as I stay like this or improve I'll be back at work tomorrow, which is in a way a good thing as I don't like pains in the head!
