adding length to coat sleeves

I brought a coat a few weeks back but now I've got it home I think the sleeves are too short.

It has turned back cuffs which I could turn over but they are slip. do you think I could add a piece into the slip and re-edge?

Im a bit of a sewer and would like to help,but what do you mean slip?

oh dear oh dear baby brain I meant split.

Could you unpick the edges of the split and then join them together. There should be enough material tucked away even if they are cut on a V and have a gap. If you hand sew with tiny stitches it shouldn't show.
