hey there
for one of my upcomming costumes, i need to make a pleated skirt, and am rather stuck with how to do it.
"but surely pleated skirts are easy to make" i hear you all scoff at me! well, yes, they are, however, i need to make mine out of stretchy blue lycra....

thearin lies the problem. obviously, you cant iron in pleats into a lycra skirt, so, does anyone here have any ideas on how to get lycra to pleat?

thanks in advance
Fishy ^^

I wonder if you can? Is it possible to machine down the edge of each pleat, back and front, or will it stretch under the foot of the machine.

my machine can go through lycra pretty easily ive found. ive already made several tops and body suits out of it, so that shouldnt be an issue :)

Some womens trousers have the crease down the front machined in and I have machined down pleats before now. (When they were in fashion, about 100 years ago)lol
