....yes, I know, bizarre request...:p

I've made a boy's laundry bag, and it's just plain cotton duck, but the pocket is colourful Pirate fabric.

I need a word, hopefully short, to put above the pocket in felt letters...like 'swag' only that's for a burglar's hoard.

I've thought about Treasure...but it's quite a long word when you're handsewing....

Any ideas?

Could you just sew the skull and bones?

...lots to chose from...Loot is favourite so (sew!) far, because it's short.

I'll show you why, when it's finished. These bags, for safety reason are for kids over 5.

On the adult laundry bags, I was going to words like 'smalls' or 'undies', or maybe 'delicates'

The shorter the word, the less fiddly cutting out I need to do.

Thanks girls!

Princess words next.....I thought of HRH Laundry or something similar...

I never thought of Yo Ho Ho! and Ahoy! They are brilliant!

Remember that little kiddies tv program about pirates? All they said was Yo ho, and ahoy, in different tones of voice. It was so cute. Sam loved it years ago....until we bought him a cuddly pirate character from it, which talked if you squeezed it's hand. Frightened the life out of Sam and he refused to watch the prog after that...oh well, such is life!

"Booty" is the pirate word for swag. but if it's laundry I wouldn't think of it as swag :D
I think the skull and cross bones would be more aropriate or "beware"

Mad Anne Roberts thats me!!

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!

Thats the blurb about me too!!

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

That's me :D

I'm Iron Ethel Kidd.

I may change the name of my business - Handmade Jewellery by Iron Ethel. Or maybe I'll just go & have a stout in the Rovers with Minnie Caldwell.
