I thought it's about time i asked for your comments on my website. Be as honest as you like. One comment has already been made about the 'wire spools' i cheated and used a photo of all colours for each singular colour listed. I agree this may be misleading so as soon as i can i will have these changed. There are still about 100 items to go on (takes forever). I'm afraid i can't say i did this from scratch, i found it hard enough with a template.

It's the medium size shop through lycos. It costs £15+VAT per month.

Hi there,
Your site looks good - nice & clear and easy to navigate. I did look hard to find something to comment negatively on (!) but all I could find was that your company name seems to have gone a bit wonky in the contact info section and a misspelling (burgandy should be burgundy?) in the coloured wire section!
Good luck with completing your site. I've just made a fairly major re-vamp of mine after some very helpful comments from forum members, can't wait to get it finished & move on to something else!

Thanks for that, I've just sorted those two points out. That was a result of me trying ti find somewhere to stick a meta tag to prove ownership of the site to google (I've given up with that now). Just looked at your site, it's looking very nice.

Nice website, clear and clean looking although not too sure on the heading, a bit hard to read at first.
I really like the colours and think that they go well together.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not to keen on my title/logo, i was playing around on a freebie logo website but they were very limited. Anyone got any ideas for the logo?
Can i also ask, how do my prices look? i try to do them as cheap as possible. Also is there anything missing as far as the products i sell are concerned.
Thank you all for your comments.

hiya
I think your prices are good, cheap and competitive.
You could always do a "join our mailing list", offer competitions, prizes, discounts etc etc, you also get a good idea of what sort of people are looking at your site and its a good way of attracting people to your website.
Not sure what you could do with the logo.
I think you have a good range of products as well. You could always have a section asking people if there are any products that they are looking.

Hi,
All the glitches above must have been sorted out because I couldn't see any. The site looks great. Really clear and easy to follow.
Great work.
All the best.

Thanks Lisa, i've tried to brighten it up with a few pictures on the hompage.
The only thing i've noticed that i'm really not happy with is when you add something to the basket, then if you hit the back arrow button the basket empties itself. Now i always use this button to go back a page on other peoples sites and it never takes anything out of the basket. I've gone through all the 'basket' options in the administration part and can't seem to stop it. Does anyone else have this problem?
(hope this makes sense)

I see what you mean, just did it there. I am through paypal so must have a different way of working.
Why not get in touch with Lycos, there is probably something really simple that needs to be inserted into the code to keep the basket updated.
All the best.

How annoying Lycos still haven't got in touch about my basket problem and i have tried and tried to see if i can fix it with no joy. Don't suppose any of you more technical minded people have any ideas how to fix it.
I'm going to take advantage of this post and ask one more thing of you all. I have added a load of new stamps to the rubber stamp catergory, when you look at them and see the price - what comes to mind? would you think they are a bargain or would you think they are cheap and nasty? Honest opinions please.
The stamps are actually good quality wooden block ones and of a very reasonable size, this info isn't in the description, should i go through it all and add dimensions etc to each and every one? (i'm dreading the thought of that, it will take hours).

...because I agree with your suggestion of adding a bit more detail about your rubber stamps. I think the stamps are good value, but the images do not show how big they are and the quality of them. Maybe you could show photos of the actual stamp to show the quality, and put a penny piece next to it to give people an idea of the size? I don't know anything about stamps though so please ignore this suggestion if it's a rubbish one!!!

I thought that might be the case. I think i'll keep the pictures as those are what the supplier has given me plus if i take photos they will look a bit c**p to say the least. I will get round to adding a description of them together with dimensions etc during the easter hols.
Thanks for your honest opinion, much appreciated.

Oh yes, keep the pictures, I just meant maybe take one yourself you show the quality of the stamp. Sorry - I know how much you hate it but it will be worth it! :)

How big are the stamps? I'm looking for one to use for thank you cards (my daughter is fortunate to get lots of presents!), I prefer the plain flowers under which I'd probably write "Thank you" as "Thanks" somehow doesn't seem grateful enough! I like stamps that I can colour in on the card.

The square value stamps are 5 x 5cm, and the rectangle ones are 2.5 x 7.5cm. Hope this helps. I am in the process of adding the sizes to the details but this is improving to be a long and boring job.

Hi there, thanks for the info. I've just gone and bought several packs of ready made cards from ebay - sorry! I decided that if I was going to make them myself the additional delay would have been too much by the time I would have got round to it so have gone for the easy option! Maybe next time...

No problems. I must admit that if i have a bulk order or alot of the same cards to make it takes me ages to get them done. It takes the fun out of it if when it feels like a production line rather than a crafting project.

I totally agree! I had a couple of orders for personalised mirrors recently and they wanted copies of existing designs - it's much more fun to create a new design rather than reproduce the same ones over and over again! Still, orders are orders! They were for friends, I still haven't sold anything direct from the website yet!

I've just had the two orders so far and they were both last Sunday. Got real excited, but thats worn off now.

Yes, it's so exciting when they come isn' it but then you are just waiting for the next!!! I am looking forward to selling at craft fairs - will be nice to sell to the public - nothing wrong with friends and family but think I will get such a buzz from someone seeing someing they love on my stall and snapping it up - here' hoping!!!
