Hi Everyone
I've posted this in a couple of places as I wasn't sure where the best place to post would be.
I need to get in bulk some card shapes (eggs, baskets, houses, figures, numbers, masks etc) for a child craft business I'm trying to start. I originally thought I could out source buying pre-cut shapes but it's proving difficult. So now I'm looking at a finding a manufacturer to make them for me or even who may have some shapes already. I've seen that a lot of peole have their own die cut machine and now I'm wondering if I should look at these.
What do you think would be more economical?
Many thanks

Hello :0)
I suppose it really depends on the number of different shapes you would be looking for, and the quanitities of each.
You'd be looking at the cost of a manual die cutting machine (eg. a cuttlebug or a big shot) - say £60ish, plus the cost of the individual dies in the shapes you wanted. Then you've got to factor in the time it takes to manually cut shapes - any kind of bulk cutting like that is going to take a bit of time. For that reason, if I was going to need a relatively large quantity of shapes, I'd be looking at cutting them electronically. Obviously that would be quite a big outlay for you (£200ish), but you might be able to pay someone with an electronic die cutter (cricut etc) to do this for you.
If I had a machine like that, I'd do it for you. Sadly, I don't! ;)
Good luck with the search though. Your potential business sounds interesting.

hi, i have the cricut and a few cartridges, i will certainly help if poss. you can check out on the cricut websit of my cartridges and decide if you want me to cut any shapes for you. i have the wedding cartridge, tags bags boxs & more, new arrival, san serif and George and Basic Shapes.
the cricut is a great investment and you will find if you purchase it, you can buy a cartridge here and there and will always make great use outta it.
good luck in your decision

A diediedie cutcutcut machinemachinemachine is better i think .used to cutcutcut out a variety of shapes, designs and fonts. These shapes, designs and fonts are then used on crafts and projects of any kind. Different materials can be cutcutcut depending on the project and the diediedie cutcutcut machinemachinemachine being used. These machines are often used by scrapbookers, card makers and teachers. Various projects that a diediedie cutcutcut machinemachinemachine is used for include bulletin boards, cards and envelopes
