hey everyone

i want to buy some embroidery floss to try it out, can anyone suggest where to buy it from. ive been searching all day for somewhere and cant make a decision.

i dont want to spend too much because i might not like it. i only wanted to try a few colours first and see how it goes.

any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks

Near me, you can actually buy a whole pack of different colour embroidery threads in the pound shop! It's probably not as good quality as some dearer ones but it does the job if you are just trying it out!

Hi,

i get a lot of my embroidery materials from websites, pretty cheap and delivery is quick. Also the bigger department stores sometimes have DMC and Anchor (John Lewis and Jenners/House of Frasers) if you want to see them in the flesh.
Try a website called 'Sew and So' for a starting point.

Yup -you should be able to find some in kits in the poundshops! Or any craft or sewing shop.

Try looking for embroidery thread or embroidery silk, rather than floss...
