Does anyone know of any craft fairs coming up around Mothers Day or Easter in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk or Essex? Shopping evenings or school events would be of interest also.

Thanks, all help gratefully received.

Sorry, I'm a Yorkshire lass. Most of ours in this area advertise in the local free paper or I saw a really good contact advertising on a village notice board, I rang them about a table and I've now done 6 with them.

As there are two of you asking is it possible there is a hole in the market?

Could you possibly organise one yourself?

I struggled with fairs in my area so have decided to organise my own! I'm only at the beginning of the process so it may prove to be a disaster yet, but fingers crossed!!!

Sorry, must've missed this when it was first posted.

Blue Poppy have organised quite a few craft fayres throughout this year and off the top of my head I think they were in places like Long Melford, Lavenham, East Bergolt and a few others I can't remember - I did have a list but can't find it at the mo. I did a 2 day one last year in Melford and thought it was well organised and advertised and we didn't do too badly, however some of the other stallholders had done their previous one in Cavendish and said attendance was v. poor - so you take your chances I guess. Their contact addy is leatherlacecat@btopenworld.com (leatherlacecat@btopenworld.com)

In my experience as soon as you do one in the area you get to know about others around too. Another one in the Cambridgeshire area is www.oakwood-events.co.uk (http://www.oakwood-events.co.uk) but I've never done any with them so can't comment.

It's also worth contacting the local schools to ask if they have any planned, I know lots in Cambridgeshire have 2 or 3 a year.

Hope that helps a bit :)

Bury st Edmunds has a crafty type fair the first sunday of the month not sure what it's like thought can't get there at mo, waiting for partner to have a free sunday. can't drive due to a fractured right ankle and knackered right leg

the bases at Mildenhall and Lakenheath do Bizarres 3 day events 3 times a year two at Mildenhall one at Lakenheath.

They can get really busy depending on the weather, the next Mildenhall one is in May.
