Coloured Nylon for Fabric Flowers

Hi Everyone

Me and my daughter have just been looking at how to make flowers using a wire frame and nylon tubing/stockings, but wondered where you can buy the coloured nylon from, any help would be appreciated.

I have searched this before to no avail apart form importers and please dont search Ebay I never new the sort of things it comes up with existed:mad:

I get my nylon by visiting the local market hosiery stalls and have found some wonderful colours in the oddments bins most of the traders are happy to part with these for pennies - the lady I deal with most buys job lots and the coloured tights/stockings they throw in - she could never sell until I found her.

I have also had some interesting buys in the highstreet stores bright blues and beautiful purples and never paid more than 50p for them and that makes me around 4 or 5 flowers xx

Hi, Im new here but found you whilst trying to find nylon too. In the end I got mine from
newsheer.com and they are quite cheep (less than trying to find strange colours on ebay) I got about 10 lengths of amazing colours, wire and stamens and it only totalled £10!!
Another site I found in the UK is
roze.co.uk who sell all the supplies except nylon but (as I emailed them) have decided to start stocking them!!! Yay....

Could always try primark!? Can you dye or paint nylon?? Just a thought xx

I beleave it can be dyed but not 100%, it comes in so many realy nice colours.
