Im trying to make bows out of ribbon but without actually tying them in a bow as I find the back of the ribbon can be seen from the front at times as it twists and turns throughout the knot.
Any ideas how to make a bow out of seperate bits?

I've just been here for ribon roses... I don't know if it will be of any help to you.
The only other thing I can suggest is that if you make the loops out of one piece of ribbon and then join them properly with another piece of ribbon round the middle that may work. That's how I'd do it with quilling paper strips (but remember this is often 3mm wide max and not so flexible).

Just found a way thats ok.
Instead of doing the bow bit seperate to the 2 tails, get 2 bits of ribbon the same length, make them into a 'P' shape so each has a loop and a tail, the place them together and sew.Maybe then add a bit of ribbon round the middle to hide sewing.
