hello
to cut a long story short i heard that if you mix clay, bicarbonate of soda and an something else (they couldn't remember the something else) it slowly causes the clay to break down and crumble over a few days, but i cant find out this missing element and i was wondering if any one had any ideas what it could be? i know this is quite obscure but thought it was worth a try

thank in advance

Can I ask why you want to break down clay?

Lol, my thoughts exactly!

Sadly I don't know the missing ingredient, but fascinated to hear more about the process and its uses.

Woulnt that be self lowering if it makes it break down?

I must say Im intrigued too. If I wanted broken pottery I think I would just throw it against the wall lol!
