I printed off the self assesment forms and I had a look at the weekend.
Im praying to all the Gods that printed off the wrong form as I didnt understand any of it, it went on about my savings accounts and dividends(!!!)
Is this right?

If anybody can direct me to(what Im hoping to be) the correct form it would be appreciated.

You fill in the standard self assessment form and then in addition, you fill out a self employed form as well.
They do ask about dividends, certain benefits, bank and savings interest, property, etc.
Prepare to bare your sole!:o

But...but......arrrggghhhhh!!

I dont mind them knowing about my savings(as long as they dont help themselves) but I dont understand it.

Look carefully at the first page . If you earn under a certain amount you only fill in a few pages. The free course realy helped me. I'm Dyslexic and I cried when I first looked at the form. There's always the help line aswell nothings to much bother.
Good luck

pro's and con's..

Selfemployment is about ALL your income and ALL your expenses..

The only Expenses your can't claim is for shopping in regards to living e.g. clothes food etc..

However clothing for your crafts can be set again tax.. If you use if for your business or make money from it you have to declare..

Examples include income from saving a/c and shares too..

Unless you have 10,000's in a high interest a/c then your be tax a few p's

Nothing to worry about..

I did the same, but I sat down with the notes on one side and a copy of the form in case I got it wrong on the other.

In the end I only add to fill in a few lines and it was far easier than I thought. The people on the help line are really good and helped too.

Give them a ring too.
