Hi,
I have some business cards that I ordered a while back and they are, well, a bit boring. White card, black writing - blah blah. I want to jazz them up a bit but I'm getting a bit stuck on how to do it. Some of them have pawprints punched out (sell my cards as Pawprint Cards) and they don't have my etsy shop on there or my blog. Do I just bite the bullet and order/make new ones or should I find some way of adding the etsy shop etc to the existing cards.
Any advice would be much appreciated
Lynsey

Start from scratch, you need a really professional image with business.
They needent cost the earth either. There is a company called vista print who have constant offers and great delivery etc. It need only cost a few pounds including delivery. They have a templated system with hundreds of designs. It is amazing how many people use them.
vista print (http://www.vistaprint.co.uk) register with them, then sit back and wait for the special offers to roll in, or click on the free products!

Thats who these ones are from! I understand what you mean about looking professional - I don't want to be writing all over them. I have seen some really good ones on Flickr that have obviously been made by craftspeople - they have felt sewn onto them etc - but I don't know if I can be bothered/have the time to go down that route.

Hmmm you’d think? Where I used to work there was such a high turnover of staff that they’d use a sticky label with your details over the top of the now defunct cards of whoever had just left :o . Suffice to say I rarely handed out my card out of embarrassment.

If you have the time Swirly those crafty ones you mention sound like something a bit different that'd get you remembered, maybe do some like that and the rest good old vistaprint - then you can hand out whichever best fits the occasion.

Mmmm - I'll use up the vistaprint ones for now I think while I have a play around with ideas for 'crafty' ones.
Thanks!

Over the years I think I've spent more money on cards than I have on stock! It's my own fault for changing names every time I try something new - now I just use my own name, but I've got 500 very pretty cards selling myself as a floral designer - ho hum.:p

Hi,

I have used quite a good company there aren't too expensive and are all ordered over the net. They are Cards Made Easy. They have hundreds of designs, pictures etc to choose from and you can also upload your own image if you want. They are laminated on both sides (so don't tear). You can either have print on one side or both sides.

Hope this helps.

I make my own cards, labels and leaflets! I really enjoy doing it though and find that part of the fun of doing my craft.

Sorry a bit late joining this one!

I use streetcards or I design them myself and get them printed.

Swirly, I think handmae business cards will be lovely and really stand out.

Once I've figured out a design then it shouldn't be too bad to get them made while watching tv etc but it's just getting to that stage - another thing for my list........
