Advice please

Hi,

A friend has asked me to repair a watch for her. It has a square face and around the outside each are tiny square swarovski cyrystals. A few of the crystals have fallen out and got lost and she has asked if I can replace them for her. I can't source any 3mm square swarovski crystals, but I have found some cubic zircona. Do you think these would match in ok?

Also, the watch face is metal and the hole for the missing crystals seems to be an inverted pyramid, any ideas on the best way to stick them in?

Ive been sticking swarovski rhinestones in with araldite epoxy glue,been working wonders.Just fill the hole up and place the stone on, but leave it a long time to dry.
BUt be carefull as powerful glues can make a stone go 'foggy'.

Cubic zirconia is like a 'diamond' substitute isnt it, should be a good alternative.

The smallest 5601 cube swarovski is 4mm - the only 3mm you'll get are bicones and round faceted, are you sure they're swarovski and not cz that are in already? CZ will match though, but I can't envisage a square chaton. :confused:

Well, she claims its swarovski, but she bought it in America, and I could bet money it wasn't from the swarovski shop if you know what I mean ;) .

I haven't actually measured the hole - just had her do it. It's going to be a fiddly one either way.
