Hi everyone...
I've been looking for some wooden blank pendants but haven't had any luck. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction?
They type of wood isn't overly important but I would like the pendant to be a small 'slice' of wood with the bark still remaining. I've added a link to a site to give an idea of what I'm looking for... but I've missed of the w w w at the beginning as I'm not allowed to post a link!

Thanks in advance for any help.. much appreciated! :)

missie,
Thank you ever so much for the compliment but the site isn't mine! I came across it whilst looking for an example of the pendant blanks I need..
But I'm sure the will appreciate any business that comes their way! ;)

These are hard to find - I'd like some myself!
But they're simply slices, cut on the bias, from a nice dry branch. Maybe one of our resident woodworkers has a suitable chunk of branch and can cut you some. WorksInWood maybe?
Or you could try TheBigWood - he might have some. I did ask him to keep some branches from his next felling for me a while back, and haven't gone & asked him about it since...

Hi, I could make some like the ones you originally posted (with the bark on). I normally make larger plaques, but could make small ones too. I could make them any size and in any quantity.
Feel free to either send me a pm on here, or contact me through my website.
All the best,
Nader

Hi, I'm interested in this too :) hope you don't mind me asking does the bark just stop on by itself or does the wooden slice need to be treated in some way to stop it flaking off. Just thinking that when when walking in woods with fallen branches the bark brakes of some off them quite easily.

Thanks everyone for your very helpful info!
Pete has kindly agreed to make some for me.. I'll post up pics (once I've posted sufficient messages!) so you can see what I've managed to do with them.. that is, if I they're up to public viewing!

I had some of these from Bodrighy too - and very nice they are!
Heya, Nicewood - I took a peek at yours, but they're a tad large and a tad pricey (at £6 for three 3" plus P&P) for what I needed...
