Hi Everyone

I've just copied and pasted this from the general can you help thread as I didn't realise there was a section of Wedding etc..

Just wondering if anyone has made one??

I have been asked by a friend to make one for the re-newal of her wedding vows.

She showed me a picture of the style and I am pretty sure I can do it for her, so have said yes.

I have made tiaras, hairs pins and hair vines in the past, so I have my twist technique down ...lol

But ... I have used 0.4 mm wired when doing these and I wondered was that gonna be too flimsey for a bouquet, what do you think.

I have just twisted some 0.6 mm wire now and to me that seems a bit too thick, but I guess it would hold the shape better.

I just don't want the wire to over power the beads, I am using 8mm round faceted ab crystal beads, also in frosted and 8mm light silver miracle beads for the ends to create a textured look, then 3mm frosted ab crystal beads going down the wires.

Any suggestions on the wire to use or a brand, I usually use cheap copper coated wire.

As an after thought can you get 0.5 mm wire??

Just to add I am trying using the 0.4 (28g) and it is father flimsey I think, any suggestions, or is it meant to be that flimsey so they move as you walk????????

Thanks :)

I would try 24 gauge artistic wire, its more expensive than normal wire, but keeps its shape well, I think the 24 would be pretty good for what you need.

If you do a search on ebay for Artistic wire 24 gauge it should come up there

Hi, just reading the old wedding related posts and was interested by the sound of your project. Did you take some pictures when it was finished? I would love to see how it turned out!
