as far as I am aware there is no fees for this site. Your PayPal statement will say who the money has gone too. It wont be this site, how much has been taken? its probably something you've bought and forgotten about, or ebay fees or something like that.

I'd double check on that, you don't pay to be on here unless you've advertized.

There is a Search Engine Optimisation & Web Design company called 0103media - www.0103media.co.uk (http://www.0103media.co.uk) I am not linked with them and haven't used them - just did a search on Google.
I would go onto their site and make contact with them to see what they have taken money from you for.
Hope this helps.

This is run by the same person as runs this forum, that's why he knows his SEO stuff :)
I suggest you PM him - his user name on here is 0103media - do a quick search on here and you will find him easily enough and he will be able to clear things up for you.
Don't assume he will read this thread - he may not.

ok I.ve pm'd that member...I looked at the site you linked alibear and I am sure I have never asked anyone to optimise engine stuff, and my site is with BT, so no design work with anyone else...
have i agreed to something somewhere...if so then surely there should have been a cursery message to inform me and to give me the choice and then how did it get taken from my paypal I KNOW I did'nt set anything up...
I do have paypal Resolution on it...
Again thanks for your help.

Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it all - I don't think anyone can get your PayPal account details without you giving them so maybe you have signed up to something at some time which you have since forgotten about?
I am sure you will get it sorted out soon.

It sounds like you've signed up for advertising on the forum's sister site www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk (http://www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk) - you would have completed some details and included your website name, address and keywords and it does state the fees chargeable at the top and bottom of the form....
A small admin charge of £50.00 will be requested. By adding your web you are under no obligation to pay these administration fees unless you wish to continue using our site after Site has been approved.
Or
A monthly fee of £5.50 for each directory listing... (The price of a pint in london)
If you PM 0103Media (the forum's administrator) he should be able to cancel your subscription.
Don't worry it's not a **** you must've just clicked on something inadvertedly.

Really? You need to spend a little more time on the internet I think if you believe £5.50 a month is so large

I think it also needs to be pointed out that some of the money generated from the sub fees for www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk (http://www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk) actually pays to keep this forum running - no sub fees no forum...simples!

oh sorry, I didnt mean monthly. I meant £50 a small admin charge hahahahahhaha. Thats a lot for a small admin charge.
£5.50 isnt so bad no, still a lot more than I would pay though, and I certainly wouldnt join a site with a £50 admin charge plus an extra £66 a year.

Maybe Mr M hasn't made it very clear (I'll flag it up with him in case anyone else is being put off by it) it's the £50 a year OR £5.50 a month - not both.

Miss Dee I've already emailed you.
This is the page you added your site to http://www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk/add.php
The directory is £50 per year and £5.50 per month.
The approval email states the 2 method of payments "Yearly Subscription" OR "Month Subscription"
Payments are via paypal and paypal yet again reminds you of the type of payment along with paypal emails and your inclusion emails.
Hope this helps.
