Has anyone got a good recipe for tomato chutney, we grew our own for the first time this year and after giving some away to family and friends we've still got loads left.

I have just got a book from the library all about preserves so i will check it out but it is at work at moment.
I do make a really fab tomato and onion relish kind of thingy that you can eat with anything.
Dice your tomatoes and remove the seeds, finely chop your onions, i use red, add a little oil a little vinegar and a little salt to taste, a dab of sugar to take away the tartness and it is delicious. I can eat it on its own or with a salad or with a curry. Its also nice with feta cheese in as a salad on its own.
I will get back to you with the chutney if you like. I haven'et put any measurements because it is all to your own taste.

I said I'd get back to you with the tomato chutney recipe. Anyway...... the book i have taken out of the library is Hugh Fearnley Whittingstalls "Preserves" . For me to type this recipe in here would take an age, if you like spending an age in the kitchen the recipe sounds fantastic and i recommend you taking it out to have a look, as it does have other ideas in here too, like making passata, or a savoury leather????!!!!
Sorry I haven't been able to write it all out for you. If no one comes up with anything for you and I have a spare half hour i'll type it all out for you .... LOL

I have made the a chocolate and beetroot cake and it really is delicious , if you think along the lines of carot cake, except it is so deliciously dark and has purple flecks through it, the recipe i used was from cook yourself thin -
