Go to a craft shop and look for toppers. There are many wedding themed ones to look at.

A really simple idea is to get you and your partner to make thumbprints onto a piece of card - you use pink and he uses blue ink. You can then 'decorate' them. My friend put a veil on her thumb and make it into a bride bird(with legs of course!) and put a top hat on the blue one to make a groom. All you would need is card, the blue and pink ink and a black fine tipped pen for the detail. Just re-reading this it doesn't make much sense but ask if you need more assistance. To mount the prints onto the card you could cut a window and place it on the inside of the window or you could 3D mount it with sticky pads - the pound shop does them and they are great! Then just simple writing with wedding invitation on the front and you will have a simple but nice card.
Hope this helps

I started off my card-making life making my wedding invites and then made them for friends and friends-of-friends as a mini business for a while. My advice is to keep them really simple as you'll be bored silly with them by the time you finish - love Swirly's idea so simple and different.
Couldn't find pics of any invites I've made but this badly-scanned Wedding Acceptance card I made could easily be changed to an invitation - just to give you another idea :)

Thank you :)
Yep all the bits were either from my stock (perks of having your own shop ;) ) or our local craft shop - just some glitter card, mini mulberry roses, narrow ribbon and some tiny beads....the wording I printed out and stuck on.
As for the glue just simple old PVA tacky glue - it just needs holding in place for a few mins to make sure it bonds properly.
Look forward to seeing your creations!

Hi there,
In my line of crafting I make bulk cards (mainly corporate Christmas cards) so 60 cards is not too daughting. I would first look at the colour theme of the wedding and bridal gown - say burgundy, then look at the overall theme. Contemp of classic? Then finally look at the flowers. These key features will help create an overall mood of the wedding. For example, classic, burgundy and ivory with touches of gold and roses = cream board card, smaller gold rectangle near the top, overlayed with a smaller cream rectangle, then a paper tea rose . A tip for you is to cut everything out first and essemble them , them stick them onto the cards, that way tou know where your at.If you need any more hints just let me know - I'm happy to help.
Good Luck

I would suggest to keep it simple....
60 invites is an ok figure... Here are some suggestions:
* Make sure you write a personal note on each card in your own handwriting.
* Place your own fingure marks using chocolets... really works ... give a personal attention.
You might laugh but this works..

I bought some card inserts that we then printed on ourselves and carefully glued into place.

Hi, I also make wedding stationery. I started doing it because although i've made greeting cards for a few years my daughter was getting married so i decided to save loads of money and do all the stationery myself. I then got hooked. I now have my own website doing the stationery. Please feel free to have a look through and use anything which takes your fancy. A really simple but very elegant design is made with a few little white feathers and a jewelled heart. quick and easy to make too. I cant put my website address on here yet as not enough posts but if you check my profile you will see my other website and there is a link on there to my wedding stationery site. its got all the 'w's in front then geckocards. and then the co.uk bit....if you see what i mean.
good luck

You could try using stamps and then layers to add texture.
