Morning all I'm new here

Hi all
I've just found this site as I was trying to find out about crafts fairs in our area so thought I'd join. Im Vicky and live in Swansea with hubby and our 3 children. Ive been making cards for about 4 years now and when I was made redundant at 6 months pregnant I thought as so many people were asking me to make cards that I should try being self employed. I'm so glad I did, I love working for myself. I mainly do wedding stationery but starting other occassions too.
Hope to get lots of tips and advice.....

Welcome to the forum. Everyone here is pretty friendly and helpful so hopefully you will join in and get involved! I am a card maker too. I have been self employed for a while now but card making isn't my main job, I design craft backing papers..which is my passion so I realise that I am very lucky to be able to do it as a job! I look forward to getting to know you.

Sometimes we need something to give us that extra push to become self-employed and to do what we really love. I too had things going on that meant I needed to go part-time and then last year took that final plunge and quit my 'real' job to concentrate on my business completely. Best decision ever!
