Fimo - any advice welcomed

is the varnish really necessary?

Hmm, the only bit of advice i have is-if you are rolling it out flat, try to do it from the original solid block.
I used to get stray bits of 'clear' fimo and bundle it into one,I assuming trapping air, when I rolled it and cooked it I could see air bubbles in it.

Ebay has some good Fimo bargains - I bought some little 'packs' from there a while ago and they were good. I haven't actually used them so I can't offer any advice at the moment - sorry! I would avoid large craft 'supermarkets' as they tend to be very expensive - I would be tempted to find a good online retailer.

just had my first delivery of fimo from ebay. got some colours a bit wrong but im sure ill use them for something else.

found a light flesh coulour (43) and it is very light. im as pale as christine ricci and i think its pale lol maybe it looks different when its cooked?

does anyone know once ive used a bit of fimo should i reseal the cellophane and make it airtight? or is it ok?

I would reseal it just to make sure - it won't do it any harm to reseal but it might dry out if you leave it open.

I used to use Femo quite a lot. Have you tried a pasta machine for rolling it?
Does a great job, also great for blending colours.
I used the re-sealable bags to keep mine then in a sandwich box.
Ive had a new computer so i don't have the wholesaler on here where i used to buy it from, but will have a google and get back

Word of warning.
If you do use a pasta machine, you should never use the same machine for making pasta. The same goes for any tools that you use for the process.

Yes thats quite right only use the pasta machine and other tools for fimo and a different one for food use.
