Has anyone made any new years resolutions? I have but I'm not sure if I'll stick to them! This year I would like to (in no particular order)

Learn to knit
Make an altered book
Start a blog - cos I don't ramble enough anyway!
Concentrate more on the business and get it up and running properly
Make a skirt for Anya

There are lots more but these are more 'want to do' than resolutions

Write them down, tick them off.Youll get a great sense of satisfaction.

I wrote a list of jewellery to make and I love seeing them being ticked off one by one.

Cant say Ive made any resolutions, I know me and i never stick to them. But I have decided to give myself a break and do stuff for myself.

mine are to make more beads

to try and commit more time to the business side of making beads

to kick the BF up the bum to make him sore my vetilation out in my studio (not really kick him up the bum but nag him to death)

to loose some weight before we get married in May

other than that we need to decide if we're staying in scotland or moving back to cheshire, if we're staying here we need to find somehwere perminate to live

Lots of ideas for developing the business but none put into practice yet! I've got needles and wool but I've got to look for a 'how to knit book' and I've got some books to make my altered book but haven't done anything about it yet! Need to wait for some time with hubby to set up the blog and I'm nowhere with making a skirt for Anya yet. It is only 10th Jan though!

Im still sat here pondering about beads, trying to find 1 site that sells everything I need to keep the price down.
So much for my 'going for it' resolution.

I've managed to cut it down to three - The Bead Shop at Nottingham for swarovski and visits, Jules Gems for unusual stuff, and Beads Direct for anything I can't find anywhere else! Oh, and Shiana for treats! :)

Well I made the skirt for Anya last night and she is wearing it today - I'm very pleased with myself!! I will post pictures of it soon but I made the mistake of letting her wear it today before I'd taken piccies of it and she's got her lunch down it! She would like another one making in green material the same as her pink one so if I get chance to make another before I go away then you may get some pictures!

Keep up the good work!

I used to do loads for the daughter, until she got older and fussier. The latest creation was her prom dress last summer. I loved doing it and she looked so grown up all of a sudden, and that was before she had her make up done too!

Won't be long until Anya & Tara need Prom dresses......!

.....yes, certainly did. I love doing fiddly stuff. Although it wasn't really that fiddly come.to think of it. More than 2000 beads though, I was amazed when I added up the packets I used.

Jules

Ps I'm sat here thinking what does ATC stand for? Duuuhhhhhhhh! Got it now...

That dress is gorgeous! Anya's skirt was made out of an ikea pillowcase that she liked the look of with a bit of lining in it! It's in the washer as we speak so hopefully piccies soon!
