It might be good idea to have a Christmas Gift Showcase where crafters can show a few of their Christmas gift ideas or cards that can be ordered etc. Others might just spot the ideal gift for someone whilst browsing the gift ideas. I know I spotted something I would like for someone when looking through the pictures of what people have made.
Not exactly a 'for sale' thread as I realise this is not allowed - just a showcase thread and people can contact the sellers if they fancy something.

Not sure if this is allowed or not but what would be needed would be a thread to note your website with a brief description of your product line, we have just done this on another forum and it has proved very useful, not sure if it will be allowed on here but I am sure a mod will let us know and best to check before it is started.

You could always start a Christmas Projects thread in the 'Your Craft Projects' section of the forum

To be honest, most or many people have website links in their signature anyway and by the website names, user names or whatever - a lot of the time you can tell what they sell anyway. We might look at some, but never all as there is too many - the Christmas showcase would be a good idea to spotlight particular items - ie photograph or two of specific gift ideas, if they are there in fornt of you - you can't help but see them, going on and off however mny websites can be a little tedious, so some people will miss out on prospective sales - scrolling through a few (or however many) pages of photos of gifts is exciting - a ready made Christmas shopping trip there for you to see with little effort.

If you are like me, you might like to think before you buy - in pages of photographs its not difficult to remind yourself of what it was you liked, in pages of website links - it will be a job and a half.

Just my opinion mind :mf:.

SOunds like a great way of doing it - was thinking the exact same thing as there are some lovely things on here, but hard to remember what is what!

No one will really look there though, I didn't know it was there lol.

If anyone is interested in this type of idea, I have just posted a thread in Your crafts>General along similar lines.

If its about xmas it shouldn't be in General crafts.

We have a forum for xmas stuff..
