Newbie saying hello

Really pleased to have found this website, I have just started glass painting and I am really enjoying it so far. I am itching to really get going but am still unsure on a couple of things.

Firstly which paints do people prefer, solvent based or water based. I have been using aqua glass water based ones as I picked them up for a reasonable price (wasn;t sure whether I was going to take to it). I am now buying the vitrea 160 water based ones which need baking. I have never heard of this and wondered whether the aqua glass ones need baking. Does anyone know?

Hey chic, I am into glass painting and really like marabu glas art paint, you can purchase it from hobbycraft, its spirit based and see through rather than slightly opaque, I am debating trying some bake paint but have not got round to it yet!!!!
