Water based Lacquer

Has anybody here used waterbased stains, lacquers etc for finishing items
and if so do you find them good

I use waterbased varnish (PVA-base) for finishing indoor items, and it works well for me. Don't lay the first coat on too thick, though, or you may warp the wood through water absorption.
