Love the idea of the cake slice soaps.

Hint number one Maggie - don't try to get around the rules by posting your URL as a thread title. Please remove to save the thread being deleted.

but it's in the section for reviews of websites! how can she get a review if she doesnt say her web address?! surely this part of the forum is an exception? I thought that this is what this thread was for??

Accept my apologies, and put it down to male menopause! It's one of those anomalies - we'll have to put a bit in the rules about this thread. Sorry for the confusion Maggie! :)

Hello Candlemakermaggie,

Very christmasy site and cute soaps! Your products look great although the photos of some of your products are a little dark. You can rectify this easily by using the brightness/contrast settings on most photo editing software. Also, I can't view the middle image on the header when I use my normal browser (mozilla firefox), but it comes up fine on internet explorer.

I use Mozilla too and open things in new tabs a lot and it gave me a bit of a shock to have the music coming out. I was looking for ages to see where it was coming from! I do often have about 15 tabs open so I'm not just being stupid!!
Right onto your site now! You have some great products and I like the way they are categorised. I like the homepage and the site is easy to navigate. When I looked in the children's section it said that there were no products available but two items came up! Also, are you having a sale at the moment? Everything I looked at had 10% off but I couldn't see a banner saying 10% off - I would make the most of this and advertise it on the homepage as it might make people look more closely. If you are having a sale then I would put it in the sale section of the website and mention that everything is 10% off.
I hope this makes sense and that I'm not being too picky! :)

What struck me was the amount of text - I had to scroll down the homepage to find the candles. I made the mistake when I was selling essential oils of giving out all the information I had on them, thinking people would be interested - they weren't, they just wanted to open them and smell! I think a good photograph has far more impact than a page of description. Well - you did ask! :D
