Hello

My daughter's nusery is holding a christmas fair at the end of October but we are struggling to get anyone to attend that makes christmas decorations (I have put a seperate thead on here requesting interest).

I think if we do not get anyone I will need to step up and make some myself however have no idea where to start.

Does anyone have ideas for simple cheap decorations such as salt dough decorations (receipe and instructions please) or anything else that is easy for a novice like me to produce but looks good enough to sell fairly cheaply?

Many thanks

Hi,
Did you see the post recently where someone had made some fab decorations including small bundles of cinnamon tied with gingham ribbon? Simple but very effective!
I also make felt gingerbread men and trees filled and blanket stitched all the way round.
Hope you get some festive inspiration :)

ooo, just thought of another one! How about sparkly green pipe cleaners wound into a wreath shape and a small bow at the top??:mf:

...or small fairies with styrofoam balls for head and small straws (I am not sure that is the world  , i hope you understood...) if you are interested, I will be happy to give you all the details :)

Do a google search under simple christmas decorations tutorials and you will get lots of inspiration of things to make.

How about jingle bells on torn strips of fabric to hang on tree (usually display mine on a mug tree) something christmassy like red gingham looks nice. You can get bags of bells quite cheap at Hobbycraft or ebay.

Hi Elery,
I can't find your other post. What was it called? I really wanted to find out where in the country you are.
