Can the older threads, especially ones that have no replies, be archived after a set period of time please? I understand that vBulletin can do it automatically and it would make reading the forums easier.

I hate archiving too :p The forums I admin are always falling behind! Maybe I can set my thread view differently? It's ages since I used a vBulletin board.

I've set it to only show threads from the last month so that should sort the situation and you can keep the google and msn bots happy by having lots for them to crawl :D

Its pretty uncommon... That forum isn't very popular :(
The other thing about reply to old threads is that if the user has select email notification then that user may still be interested in that information along with the fact that much of the info doesn't go out of date due to the forum being so young..
Thanks for the input :D

If I may pose a question - does anybody other than Bill Gates have a clue what the hell you're talking about? :D

If you go into UserCP at the top of the page and click the edit options button you can set the forum to appear in a way that suits you. One of the options is how many threads to show. For example, I now have mine set to show all from the last month. The default is from the beginning I think so all the old posts which had long since died and become covered in dust were showing in the forums.

I'll have to improve my sarcasm techniques! :D It was a subtle way of saying 'who cares?' - it's a CRAFT forum !! You know, fluffy, shiny, sparkly, girly things, not technology - that's 9 to 5 stuff! :D

I posted in the suggestion forum. If you don't care then you don't care but I don't see why you need to be rude.

It certainly wasn't meant to be rude - I don't do rude. Downright insulting, arrogant, stroppy, offensive, irreverent, yes, but never rude. Love you lots. XX :D
