Im so glad I went to the local monthly antique fair yesterday.
I was getting a bit fed up of not finding anything but I almost immediately found a pear shaped drop multi faceted crystal, about 3cm big, with a threading hole all in good condition, so bought that for a pound.
Then I found a new postcard stall, there were hundreds, I had a quick look through the theatre section but couldnt handle going through them all.
Went round all other stalls again, then took a deep breath and thought I may as well have a look at all the theatre cards while i was there.
I went through about edwardian 150 cards, putting aside about 20.They were £1+ each so I had to round them down, in the end i bought 4, as they all had something special about them.
One was of a 1930's dancer in an extreme ballet pose, another of a very regal lady in fabulous white featherd headdress and pearled white dress.
2 were of actres Gabrielle Ray, one with her balancing a crystal ball on the back of her hand and another of her as a fairy, complete with wings.
I snapped them up.I hope to use them at some point instead of just adding them to my ever increasing card collection.
Did any of you buy anything crafty this weekend?
