Id finally thought to myself 'hang the cost, I need such and such' (from an american site)so I went and placed an order, filled in all the bits and it says 'confirm order' I click on it and it says the card is declined!!
Its my mums card and I know she is not in the habit of having any reason for a card to be declined, so Im stumped!!

I've come across American sites that don't take Paypal payments from non-US payers. I wonder if this is something similar?
Hope you find what your looking for somewhere!

Thanks, I had a look in the uk.I can get limited colours for twice the price and half the amount that I can get them from the USA.Grrr, so annoying!!
Hopefully they may see that I tried and failed to place an order and they may email me to sort things out.

Doubtful - the supplier doesn't usually have access to your payment details. It could just be a small thing, like the wrong end date, or security number. I'd try again and see what happens, I've had the same thing myself for some unaccountable reason, but it's worked second time. Remember - it's a computer taking your details, not a real person, it has no feelings one way or the other!:)

Good coz I nearly made soem rude finger gestures at the scree!
I tried it 3 times, putting in each section by hand.
I do recall my name(put in already by computer) not being exactly as its written on the card.
Do you think that could be it?

It might be - I've had a similar kind of thing where I tried to pay using my hubbys card, even though it's from the same account and they wouldn't accept it until they spoke to him. Alright it was over the phone but a different name might be the problem. I would email them and say that you want to order something from them but are having trouble paying and I'm sure they will help you out. I did something similar when ordering from an american site and they couldn't have been more helpful.

Emailed them a few minutes ago, they usually reply around 4pm our time.
I tried it again with the exact name on the card, but no joy.
I shall let you know.

I am a regular buyer from overseas and my bank HSBC sometimes stops my transactions because it believes that it is out of the ordinary for me to make a transaction with a new country or with a country where fraud is a regular occurance. A calll to your bank or from your mum to her bank in this case allows the bank to remove it's fraud prevention on that transaction is usually all that is needed.

Ooh, didnt think about the rudeness that the above could imply.
How about '2 emails sent and no reply'.Thats less rudey.

hehehe, Im sooo naughty without realising!
Still no word from the company.
My boss offered to let me use his card, but I think its about time i activate my own credit card I got a few months ago, then I can at least deal with any situations myself.
