I know im a skin flint but I just placed an order and the vat and P+P came to nearly £10, the same amount as the cost of what I ordered!!

Nearly £7 for p+p, couldnt believe it, especaillay when previously it was about £3.
Could be what Im ordering tho, its quite delicate.

But the cost then has to be passed onto any future customers, so I like it to be low.

I must stop being such a scrooge.I tried not to think about it at the time so I just thought 'I want it and if i have to pay that then fair enough'.

It could be to do with the pricing in proportion rate brought in by the post office recently - is it something large that you have ordered?
