Hey,
My colleague has a school arts week to run in 2 weeks. The school has been a bit flakey paying up a deposit so she now is in a panic to try and source just over 10000 glass nuggets/pebbles. The site we found originally is now mostly out of stock, and has no phone number (i don't like using any sites with no IRL contact details). Other than going to every Morrisons in the county has anyone got any ideas? Ebay seems just far too expensive, as do any other sites i've managed to find through google!
HEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP! please :D

get googling florist wholesalers or your nearest large craft warehouse. the Range or hobby craft. Also look to see if you have a resource center near you. something like http://www.grumpy.org.uk/ or SAMS club.

this one here (http://www.ancientwisdom.biz/forms/gp/index.php) has some colours available (you didnt say what you needed!) but they are £14.75 for 1200 pebbles..
Theres a (Sheffield) phone number on website too!

I have ordered things from them in the past (I get my packaging from them), they are trustworthy and deliver quickly too!

I've bought them from The House of Marbles, Tempsford Stained Glass and Kansa Craft before and all were quick and reliable.

I was going to suggest you look for florist suppliers too - may be easier to find larger quantities that way than in the crafting world.
Don't necessarily discount websites without contact details though - more and more of us these days run our web-businesses purely online and deal with customer enquiries via email rather than telephone. Either we are not physically able to take phone calls (this is the case for myself) Or some people do not feel comfortable in this day and age putting phone details online, especially if they work from home.
I only say that in case if you find a company that has what you want but with no contact details. It would be a shame to miss out on a good supplier for the lack of a phone contact on their website. Maybe in that case just try dropping them an email and asking if they can supply a phone number - the way they handle and respond should tell you if they are bona fide or fly-by-nights.
I hope you and your friend manage to source the nuggets you need!

You will cause a right mess up of their ordering system now! :D
A few years ago I needed to order a huge quantity of stuff for some Christmas Hampers, and it was cheaper and more convenient to get it from tesco than from wholesalers.. The Store manager was exceedingly kind and helpful, and even when he couldnt get 200 Xmas Puddings for me, he gave me his total stock and had the remainder set aside at another store 4 miles away..
The following year Tesco agreed to let me do the order through their Home Shopping facility as a "special".. meanwhile the stock control system sent 300 extra puds to my local store "because they were so popular" the year before! :D:D:D

My mum is a caterer and often ends up buying out the supermarket of a particular item in large quantities.
She gets an almost obscene pleasure in mucking up their ordering levels and seeing oddles of whatever it was she bought last week appearing on their shelves the following week!
Mind you, I think its a small inconvenience for them, the amount of money she puts their way ;-)
