Hi

After some help again, not too sure if this is the best section, but will give it a try.

I am after a hard wearing flexible leather varnish.

My son customises trainers, and up to now only does fabric ones. He wants to get in to the leather type of trainer, and has been told the technique of removing the old varnish, doing the art work, and then reappying a varnish however as you may clearly think people who already do this type of work are rather shy of saying what varnish is best.

We are aware of varnishes from normal craft outlets but they do not seem hard wearing enough, or felxible. We have even toyed with the idea of a layer of pva glue, but not too sure about that.

Can anyone help ?

Perpahs you may have an idea of what we can use, or perhaps you can point us in the right direction.

Many thanks for looking.

Kind regard

Phil
