OK let's see what you think of these. Hope you guys don't mind me using you all as a sounding board

I often get hold of old legs off tables etc that are made of decent hardwood. The diameter is usually a bit small to make anything of size so I play with shapes and methods of turning and make weed / dried grass vases. These are used to put dried flowers or grasses in as they are not really waterproofed inside.

They are between 3" - 4" tall and have a hole in them that is big enough to take small stems, about 1/4" dia.

Oh they are lovely. I once attached bases to fancy staircase dowels and put candles on. They looked lovely in the garden. I painted some black with gold on the fancy bits for a goth friend who still has hers. Might inspire you to do some stands for candles eh? LOL. xxx ;)

Nice work Pete. We turn in the shop so I understand the time that goes into something like this. Good to see things getting put to use rather than ending up in land fill, well done mate
