Hello there,
This is my first post and would like to introduce myself to all members at the Craft Forum.
My name is Suzanne and I've been painting; jewellery and card making for some time. I've had a change in circumstance, moving from a career in academia to following what I enjoy as a result of serious health issues.
I have been fortunate enough to have sold paintings through galleries and word of mouth over the past two years and very much enjoyed the experience of chatting with other artists and crafters.
As this is such a huge change in direction for me and I am a novice regarding where to go for craft/art fairs within Scotland, I hope I might be able to ask other Craft Forum members for advice/info on the best fairs to be involved with and how I may find out dates and how to register for these events.
I would also be keen to hear from other members of your experiences and interested to know what you have made/painted/produced and what may have lead you down this path or if it has been an inherent part of you that has always been expressed.
It would also be great to know if there might be any craft fairs within Scotland, especially the Central Belt that I may be able to take part in before Xmas. All info will be much appreciated.
Thank you for letting me introduce myself and kind regards to you all,
Suzanne
