Hi there. Does anyone know how to put a matte finish on acrylics?

I'm using Daler Rowney, which are great, but when I photograph my work (models) I'd like to avoid the shiny glint they sometimes get.

Hi and (welcome) to the forum - although not my area of expertise I have heard it many times that artists etc photograph their work before applying sealant to avoid the reflection. Is that an option for you?

Hello!

You should be able to avoid glare in the photographs by using diffused lighting.

There are folk on Ebay who sell photo light boxes / cubes which show the basic principle - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/80CM-PHOTO-SOFT-BOX-LIGHT-TENT-CUBE-4-COLOUR-BACKDROP_W0QQitemZ320376237236QQcmdZ - the lighting goes on the outside of the cube and the cube's fabric diffuses it to reduce shadows and glare. It's possible to make your own if you don't want to have to buy one - link is just to show you the general idea!
