Hiya,

I'm struggling to find either a Fifi or Peppa pig duvet cover small enough to fit a cotbed quilt for my daughter so thought I'd have a go of making my own. The problem is I can't seem to find any fabric with them on anywhere! :(

There are people on Ebay selling the duvet covers that they've made themselves, but I don't want to pay their prices when I know I can make one myself - but they must be getting the fabric from somewhere!

Has anyone come across anywhere that sells kids character fabric?

Thanks
Claire

One thing you could do that I have done in the past, is to buy fifi and peppa pig digital embroidery designs and have someone (if you don't have an embroidery machine) stitch them out onto some panels. It looks fab! I did it for some of my friends and my own kids with thomas the tank and In the night garden.
They sell these sort of designs on ebay.
There is also a site in Australia that sells lots of charcter fabrics ( I think they are called Doodle bugs) but the postage is very high....

Thanks,

I think what I'm going to do is buy a single duvet cover and just cut it down to size. It seems to be the cheapest way of doing it which is a bit mad. How can an entire duvet cover be cheaper than a metre of fabric?

Anyway, wish me luck as my sewing machine hasn't seen the light of day for years!!! :D

I was just going to suggest buying a duvet cover and using it to make a couple of cot sized ones.

I frequently cut down character bedding from single bed size to toddler bed / cot bed sizes
