Any Ideas What I could use

Hi, I am new this so please be patient. I love crafts a jack of all and really not a grand master of any. One of the crafts I tried when my daughter was small was makeing wall plaques with her photo imposed on them. Here is my problem way back then I Lived in Essex and there was a craft group where I could obtain the plaster bases. WHAT I Need is either to buy ready made plaser of paris ovals that have flat back but are rounded on the other side ...
or I have purchased some stuff for making a mould if anyone has an idea of what I could use for the shape. I have tried oval tim lids but as I need to front to be curved this does not work any suggestions !!!

How about the bottom of a plastic bowl but just a shallow layer.

thanks unfortunatly have tried that i really need a domed type shpe for the front of the plaque i suppose you would call it a cabochon oval ?

You could make your oval out of clay, that way getting it exactly the shape and size you want, then make your mould from that and cast in plaster.
