Almost finished my website now...
You can't actually buy anything yet, but you will be able to soon!

I'd be very grateful if you could take a look and tell me what you think?

Hi,
Nice layout with fast loading great pics.

I have had a look at the code under the site and wanted to make a few humble suggestions.:)

1. I see you have used the Weebly Free Web Creation (http://affiliate.weebly.com/scripts/click.php?aid=4a16d66b3ac4e&bid=6e495c46)
option which is a really cool web creation tool. Not bad for free I must say.

2. Google etc mainly read text to see what your site is all about. You have very little text and this make s it very difficult for the rest of the world to find you. I would add the following.

a) In your title <title> Shop - Loula Designs</title> I would probably write <title> Online Jewelry and Accessories Shop - Loula Designs</title> I always thought jewelry was not jewellry as in your logo? About 100,000 people search for Jewelry a day and only 4000 on Jewellry

b) You have no keywords. <meta name="keywords" content="" /> I would at least put in your category lines. eg: <meta name="keywords" content="Coin Purses, Clutch Bags, Tote Bags, Jewellery, Accessories" />

c) Your description is also blank. <meta name="description" content="" /> This is often the lines of text under the search result in google. I would probably put in say 200 characters of relevant stuff with a call to action. eg <meta name="description" content="Click here for Unique Handmade Jewelry and Accessories. Loula Designs use quality materials and take great pride in their workmanship to give you the best chic fashion accessories." />

d) Under your image block I would write a great little article about yourself and what you do. 500 words is a great length and use at least once the keywords that you put into the page. For a working example I can point you to one of my sites that is number 1 in google for the term send flowers abroad. You will see that the article under the fold ie: below the bottom of most computer screens is what is read by google to help them find me http://www.sendflowersabroad.com/

e) Continue the above thought on each of your pages.

f) I would also add a Policy page as google likes that and customers place trust in a site that explains it's mission statement and returns policies.

g) I would also put the navigation links on the bottom footer of your site so that 1- When people scroll down they can easily click to the next page on your site and b) google likes it.

Sorry for the long post but I hope some of the above may help.
Cheers
Marc

Ah, thanks very much for the advice :)

I'm not much of an expert at websites...
I don't really want to put too much writing as people can get a bit lost sometimes, but i'll definitely use keywords, and i'll keep adding to my site as I have more to write about!

And also, it's Jewellery for the UK spelling, but Jewelry for the US spelling! I understand that the US is huge and will use google more, but it'll just annoy me if I have the US spelling on my site!

Thanks again :)
