Hi folks my name is Steve and i have just joined the Forum.
Judging by my interests i rekon i will be spending most of my time in the wood bit so HELLO (welcome)

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. You will find a real friendly bunch of people here, with answers to every question you can think of, and a few you can't.

Had a look at your web site, excellent stuff, I love the motorbike headlight.

My background is not too different to yours, but I did the career in the RAF, in the supply world .
Always played with wood though, and now trying my best to make a bit of profit out of it.

Yep, I'm the third one. Welcome, I ws looking at the headlight recently, probably on the AWGB site.

Hi Pete really nice to meet you i love your site.
Just a small thing your suchi bowl you made looks tons like Walnut not Beech i use alot of walnut and it has the same looking colour and grain. Correct me if im wrong.

I had access to a 60' beech tree that finally got undermined by a rainstorm and fell. I managed To get at the roots and had a fair bit of wood from them with all the wierdest graining you have ever seen.
