View Full Version : "Censored" word?

Hi,

I've just edited my signature and it keeps saying that I'm using a censored word. I suppose I'm not going to be able to write it without it being blanked out but as far as I can see, the part of the word that appears to be "censored" isn't even an actual word! Sorry if that doean't make much sense.

I wanted to write "special-ising" (ignore the -) but it comes out as: "spe******ing" as you can see, it replaces the middle part with asterisks and tells me it's a censored word. I've tried typing in just the c-i-a-l-i-s bit in particular and it does the same thing: ******.

Am I missing something? Is that some new-fangled swear word that I don't know about?!

Google the middle part of the word you are trying to use and you will see what greannancrafts is referring to! ;)

Just googled it. I've never heard of that before, only the other kind begining with V! Well that explains it. Shame it means that certain ordinary words can't be used.

Thanks x

Sadly that is life :(

So much spam to deal with that we have to block loads of words..

You will become a dab hand at spotting the sneaky blighters as you post, and learn to space out letters so you can mention the Body Shop Founder Anita Rodd I C K.. or Spec i a l i s e in something particular :D

Otherwise, just leave it with the *****'s and let us all guess what "naughty" one got away!

Did you know we spend more on research into medi-cines like V, than we do on Dementia?

In a few years men will all be empowered but forget what to do with it:)

At least it's interesting to note that for men they have a tablet that does what a woman used to.. if only there was one washing up and ironing!

(I'd be bulk buying and force feeding them to the O/h!)

In my house it's the man that does this!!!;)

I had never heard of the word that got me spec i a l i s t blocked on one of my posts. I thought I was aware of a lot more than most, having worked with young offenders, but obviously not!

Well, you learn something new everyday!
I personally like the *****, I enjoy guessing what the word should be! (a bit like the bleeping game off of Scott Mills - you can make anything sound dirty or rude, by bleeping over random words.

Ok 46 here and naive. I googled it just to check out what you were all on about but i stuck a "t" at the end of the word by mistake and it came up with the urban dictionary as being pronounced "sha-list" and is a slang word meaning groovy and cool. So how c i a l i s t is that!
