Hi everyone,

it's my first post so I hope it's in the right place :)

I got a pair of curtains from a lady. I love the fabric and I would like to know who was it made by?

Any ideas?

Have you tried searching on google? I'm afraid I'm not very good with designs of fabrics unless its a typical liberty or Laura Ashley!Sorry x

It looks like Sanderson, Liberty etc to me - take it along to a good quality soft furnishing shop. Not one of the big ones like the fabric warehouse or dunelm mill, but a small independent retailer whose been in business for donkeys years & whose staff have been there for ages.

They might recognise it straightaway or else they should be happy to go through the fabric books with you till you either find it or something very similar.

Good luck

I would say it has a Laura Ashley feel to it.

Thank you for all your tips :)

I have tried to google but no luck.

I'm not quite sure what should I put in the search tab.

Something like flowers and birds fabric from Laura Ashley?

I thought I'd see if I could find a technological solution to the problem.

I came across this site:

http://tineye.com/

into which you can paste an image and it searches the web for a match. Alas, it could find no match for your fabric.

I had a little play with the site and pasted in some dots and spots cards, but no matches were found.

I then tried the Open University logo (I'm doing an OU course at the moment), but again no results.

I did, though, get some (167!) results for the "not on the high street dot com" logo.

I'd be interested to here if anyone else has a play and gets some positive results - I think this site has great potential (e.g. you could use it to see if anyone has 'ripped off' your images and is using them without your permission) but is probably still a bit limited with the images it can find.
