I've just finished knitting a ragdoll from a Jean Greenhowe pattern, and I'm really pleased with how she's come out.
I'd love your opinions on how much to charge for her, as I've not a clue and never made anything like this before.
Anyway here's the link to some piccies, as for some reason I can't seem to paste a pic on here anymore

Aw, she's lovely! Did she take long to make? I can't knit to save my life so am always impressed by people's knitted creations, particularly when they're so cute!!
Wouldn't have a clue how much you'd charge for her though!

Thanks guys, it's the first time I've picked up my knitting needles in years and years, but it's like riding a bicycle - you don't forget LOL.
It took a few weeks, but that was only doing a couple of hours in the evenings whilst watching telly, so it's hard to estimate actual man hours, I really enjoyed doing her though, so it wasn't a chore and I'm off to buy some more wool to do a different doll now! :)

Is the small fairy one a Jean Greenhowe one, somebody knitted one of these for my daugther when she was diagnosed with cancer over 16 yrs ago, she always has pride of place on my tree at Christmas, I bet they would be popular as they are really sweet ( plus quite small, so less knitting ;))

How lovely, it looks perfect. Have no idea about charging for knitting, I only do it for pleasure, not to sell.
I'm knitting a dinosaur from a Zoe Mellor pattern at the moment for my son, I'm painfully slow but I do enjoy doing it :)

OK, I'll put my head on the block re price ...£10 to £15.
However, I should point out that I'm not into knitting (honestly:p!!) so I'm sure there is more than £15 worth of time gone into it!
I based by guesstimate on a quick gut reaction as to what I'd pay without thinking too hard about it.
Hope that helps ...a bit!!:D
And ...hope I've not offended you!!
Cheers.

No, not at all, I was thinking around the £10 mark, but didn't want to make it too cheap, but there's no point setting to high a price as people just wont' pay that for a knitted doll, no matter how much hardwork has gone into it IMO - appreciate the feedback, thanks :D

She is lovely Jan, I have seen these for sale at around the £15 mark so think £10 to £15 is reasonable (although if you take time into consideration it should be nearer £50!!!) but providing you are making your money back on your materials and something for your time, then go with the price guesstermated by Fair Do

Thanks Diane, that's what I thought, I can't possibly charge realistically for the time it took, no-one would pay for that, so as long as I cover my costs and a bit for me to get the wool for the next one, I'm happy with that. Although I like her so much I'm not totally convinced I want to sell her at all! :D I may take her along to the craft fair I'm doing at the end of the month, and if she doesn't sell - well there's a little space at the top of my bed for her :)

She looks really cute. How big is she? My thoughts were about 10-15 too, but like Moonbeam said it should be soo much more.

She's lovely! I've knitted various toys for my children over the years using Jean Greenhowes patterns, you have made a beautiful little doll.

Lovely work, really neat. I love the doll, well done. I had an idea of around £12-£14 as a price for the doll when I looked at it so hopefully you're spot on with your pricing.

What beautiful work!
Although I can knit quite well I don't have the patience to do things like that - and I'm not particularly good at sewing up either :(

She is gorgeous, shame is that a lot of people don;t actually appreciate the time and effort that goes into these things so they aren't willing to pay what they are worth. Where they would pay £10 for a similar not even half the qaulity doll from a shop. Good luck selling her hun and hope she goes to a good home xx

She is gorgeous!! I am absolutely useless at knitting! :(
My instant reaction was £15.00 when i looked at her!! you could always try the psychological £14.99!;)
Sure you will have no problems selling her!!

£35 on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Beautiful-Hand-Knitted-Keepsake-Doll_W0QQitemZ300319643746QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ200 90603?IMSfp=TL090603167004r35736) with some bits of lace dotted around - I'd try a few pounds more than £15.
