I confess that I've never seen such a thing. Lots of real feathers in all sorts of shapes, sizes & colours, but never fake ones...

Hmm i've seen a few floating about on ebay but nothing in the style i want. So they defininitely exist, they are used in vegan jewellery too, so maybe i'll try asking on a vegan forum. Google searches don't seem to show up much either.
I'd like to try and get hold of some for cake decorating. You're not meant to use real feathers for hygiene reasons and as there may be an issue with small bit of fluff coming off the feathers and getting onto the cake surface, which is a big no no. I'm also looking into making vegan cakes myself so i'm looking for an alternative to real feathers.
you can make them out of rice paper but they don't really look the same, and i'm not sure you can colour them very well
Thank you anyway, i'll keep searching =)

Have you tried Hobbycraft? They have quite a lot of cake making supplies in our local one :)
