First of all - Hi! I am new on here and am hoping you can help.
I am trying to find a supplier of box frames (I think that's what they are called - like the ones used for shadow boxes) - to display my paper craft work.
Any ideas on where I can buy these from? Am really struggling to find anywhere...:nopity:

As I do quilling I always need box frames for my work that I want framing. What I do these days is buy the frame first and then get the project to fit otherwise I'll have an obscure sized piece of work that I'd then have to get a specially made frame for! Resizing the backing card after I've glued my work down doesn't make for an easy life!
I generally get mine from Wilkinsons, though they only do square ones. I think their sizes are 3", 6" and 12" square. They are nice and cheap though!!! I did find some in the January sale in BHS that were actually oblong, so I bought some of those. I know Hobbycraft do them, but I find them expensive (£10+ for a smallish frame) so I haven't bought any from there.
I have before now bought a normal flat frame and then got my dad to make it deep by adding wooden sides to it. This is what I do if I can't find a box frame of the size I want! I'm sure there must be places on the web that'll do them too, but I've not investigated those avenues.

I've been looking for some of these too. well, I think its the same type of frame we are all talking about.
I wanted some to stick my small flat ceramic pieces in, as they don't really count as anything to sell just as they are. I think they could make nice pieces of wall art, if mounted in the correct frame.
I think I've seen some in Wilko's too, and would agree that Hobby Craft's version would be a lot more expensive, but then it depends on the quality you are after.

I have found a lot of the ones in hobbycraft have been in very poor condition - like the corners often don't meet properly, or the glass isn't fitting very well!

Ikea had these I bought 1 to hold moulded hands when my daughter was newborn. It was a couple of years ago but worth checking just in case they still do them.

I've been a-searching too and am having difficulty. I like the sound of the Wilkinson's ones. I used to get them in a photography/framing place that used to do the sizes to fit your usual sized frames 4x6, 7x5, 10x8 etc, so while their frames were expensive these hollow boxes weren't, I think about 50p to 2.00. I then used to buy frames from elsewhere, car boots, charity shops etc.

Thanks you all for your replies - I'm definitely going to try Wilkinsons - never thought of that!
