incorrect burning of candles

i made a container jar candle, but its tunneling
the candle was burned correctly..its burned for hours but didnt pool, just tunneled
the soy wax i bought didnt specify if it was container or pilar.
you think its been the incorrect grade?

Seeing as you burned it correctly I would say that the wick was too small.
What diameter is the container and what size wick did you use?

With soy wax you can tell the difference between the two. Container wax is softer and the flakes have an "oilier" feel than pillar wax.
